Youth Villages – LGA Gives Back
LGA has a long-lasting relationship with the private non-profit organization Youth Villages, and is always looking for new ways to help out. Youth Villages is dedicated to helping emotionally and behaviorally troubled children and their families live successfully. Every year we do at least 2 LGA Gives Back initiatives with Youth Villages: Backpack Hero campaign in August and Holiday Heroes program in December.
Sarah Reilly, the Volunteer and Donor Engagement Coordinator for Youth Villages in MA and NH, had reached out to us asking if we had anyone that was interested in assisting their LifeSet Youth with basic tax return questions. LifeSet is an individualized, community-based program that helps young people who age out of foster care build healthy relationships, obtain safe housing, education, and employment. Taking on all of these new responsibilities is poses a hurdle for any young adult. It’s hard to know where to start and the right steps to take. We were excited to ask our Tax Managers if they’d be interested in helping out and Jason Downey stepped right up!
