On the Rise Clothing Drive

At LGA, giving back to our community is a big part of our culture. After years of work in our community, we have created the LGA Gives Back initiative to organize our volunteering and support of the communities where we work and live. 2021 was our first year partnering with On the Rise, a non-profit organization that addresses the wellbeing of women struggling with homelessness.  The organization, “creates a community where women have the relationships, safety, and resources they need to move out of homelessness. We engage with those most in need and support their initiative and strength as they move beyond crisis and discover new possibilities.” 

On the Rise is committed to a long-term relationship based l approach with each individual they serve focusing on the whole person. They offer access to a variety of resources, from meeting basic needs such meals, clothing, showers, computers, phones, laundry, etc. to creating safety plans to remove women from dangerous situations. Holding a gently used clothing drive was a way for our LGA team to come together and open our closets to support them. We look forward to furthering our relationship with On The Rise and other organizations providing essential services to our communities.
