LGA Supports’ Youth Villages Backpack Heroes Program

LGA is proud to support Youth Villages Backpack Heroes initiative. The program provides an opportunity to donate school supplies and backpacks to help Youth Villages students start the school year off successfully. This program provides care for more than 10,000 children in Georgia, Indiana, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.

“The Youth Villages Backpack Heroes Initiative provides new backpacks and school supplies to around 300 children and young adults in Youth Villages programs in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Most of the children’s families simply cannot afford the supplies they need for the school year. As supporters of our efforts, LGA has joined our force for education. “Purchasing school supplies can become a financial burden for many of our families. By supporting Backpack Heroes, children start the school year with confidence and the items they need to have a successful year,” said Jessica Fredriksen, development manager, Youth Villages Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. “LGA has made such a difference in the lives of the youth we serve by joining this initiative. We are so grateful to them!”

“Our LGA team was excited to be able to contribute to the Backpack Heroes initiative that Youth Villages recently conducted. Ensuring that children from Kindergarten to High School can begin their school year on an even playing field with their peers is so important and something that we wanted to be a part of,” said LGA employee, Sharon Masse.

LGA is passionate about community involvement and giving back not only to our clients but to the local community as well. We exceeded our goal to stock 15 backpacks and provided the program with additional school supplies.  We look forward to continuing our relationship with Youth Villages and supporting more of their outreach programs.
