Celebrating the Diversity of Team
At LGA, diversity isn’t just something we observe…it’s something we celebrate every day. We honor the unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of our team members, learning from one another and creating a workplace where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued.
Heritage Sharing Events
Our DEIB events bring team members together to celebrate our diverse tapestry of cultures, identities, and experiences across our firm. From Lunch and Learn storytelling sessions, trivia nights, and diversity fairs, to movie nights, dance events, and guest speaker presentations, these gatherings provide meaningful opportunities to share stories, traditions, and perspectives. Each event helps deepen understanding and build stronger personal connections.
Immersive Educational Experiences
We create meaningful opportunities for team members to learn and connect, both inside and outside the office. Our experiences are intentional and engaging, from visiting the Embrace statue and the African American Museum in Boston, exploring the “On This Ground” exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum, to attending the Pride Parade in Boston together. These activities allow us to bond while deepening our understanding of different cultures, histories, and communities.
Community Engagement and Support
Our DEIB mission extends to the local community. We proudly support Black- and women-owned businesses, support local initiatives, and create opportunities to connect, collaborate, and celebrate diverse perspectives, making a meaningful impact every step of the way.
Empowering Women at LGA
Our Women’s Affinity Group, led by Elianna Makiej with advisors Janine Danielson and Laura O’Brien, provides a supportive network for women in public accounting. We host events such as guided meditation, shared personal journeys of women business owners, internal leader-led speaking seminars, and community organization educational sessions. These experiences provide mentorship, development opportunities, and a space to connect, empower, and thrive both personally and professionally.
